Dear Parents, Carers, Children, and Visitors,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Brereton Primary School.

As a one-form entry Church of England primary school for children aged four to eleven, we are incredibly proud of the warm, nurturing and inclusive community we have created. At Brereton, every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish. Our recent Ofsted inspection recognised this, describing our school as “a joyful place in which to learn” and highlighting how pupils flourish because they are helped to feel “safe and valued as individuals.”

Our vision is ‘Flourishing Together'and this sits at the heart of everything we do. We believe children thrive when they feel safe, secure and valued, while being challenged to achieve their very best. We want every child to discover their strengths, develop their character and grow in confidence.

We are ambitious for every pupil. Our curriculum provides children with the knowledge and skills they need for the future, enriched by a wide range of memorable experiences including trips, residentials, music, clubs, theme days and special events. These opportunities bring learning to life, build confidence and help children develop resilience.

Our work is deeply rooted in our Christian values of Community, Wisdom, Respect and Hope. These values shape the way we learn, the way we treat one another and the way we contribute to our community. We want our children to leave Brereton as successful learners, but also as kind, confident, resilient and responsible young people, ready for the next stage of their education and life beyond school.

Relationships are at the heart of our school. Ofsted recognised that relationships between pupils and staff are “positive, warm and respectful”and highlighted our commitment to inclusion, noting that “every pupil is included in school life.” We are proud to be a school where children know that adults care about them and where every child is supported and expected to succeed.

At Brereton, we are proud to be more than a school. We are a Brereton Family.We work closely with parents, carers, our local church and the wider community to give our children the very best possible start in life.
